Seminole System of Care
Mental health matters.
The Seminole County System of Care (SSOC) expansion is a four-year mental health initiative to expand the system of care on behalf of youth ages 13-21 with mental health and/or co-occurring disorders (mental health/substance abuse), by improving the bridge between child and adult-serving systems.
Embrace Families Solutions serves as the implementing partner for the SSOC, which is funded through an award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. In the four-year project period, SSOC is projected to serve a total of 182 Seminole County youth who have current or former involvement in the foster care system, juvenile justice system, criminal justice system, or special education. SSOC provides the opportunity for participants to have a primary role in designing their care and achieving skills necessary to become successful and productive adults.
