Catherine Macina

Catherine (Cathy) Macina has 35 years experience in the accounting field, of which 15 years has been dedicated to the nonprofit sector. Cathy joined Embrace Families in May 2017. In her role as CFO, Cathy lends her expertise in strategic planning, budget forecasting and captive development to benefit the children and families in Central Florida. Cathy oversees the functional areas of accounting, finance, contract management, MIS and facilities. Cathy currently serves on the finance committee of the Orange County Youth Mental Health Commission.

Previously, Cathy served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Diocese of St. Augustine, She also served as Secretary for the Province of Miami and the board representative for the Bishops Plan Insurance Company, which purchases the property, liability and workers compensation for Dioceses in the United States.

Cathy received her bachelor degree from the University of Florida and Florida Southern, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in good standing with the State of Florida.
