Debbie Leon

Debbie Leon serves as Director of Philanthropy for Embrace Families. Debbie came to Embrace Families from the Coalition for the Homeless in 2011. While at the Coalition, she raised more than $4,000,000 in revenue including support from donors, corporations, faith-based organizations, direct mail appeals, and special events. Since joining Embrace Families, Ms. Leon has introduced new systems for tracking and growing donations and has implemented successful new concepts of fundraising including, most recently, the Benevon Model. In her time at Embrace Families, she has executed numerous successful fund raising events, including Open Your Heart breakfast and Central Florida’s newest signature event, Dance, Dream, & Inspire.

Debbie brings eighteen years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising and donor management, and she has a proven track record of fundraising success. In 2010, Debbie was recognized as the Outstanding Fundraising Professional by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Central Florida Chapter. Additionally, she has served as Vice President, Communications, Association of Fundraising Professionals Board of Directors.
