Bio

Gerry Glynn is chief operating officer for Embrace Families. Prior to joining Embrace Families, he represented children and families as a lawyer for over 20 years.

Gerry has also served on many nonprofit boards of directors and throughout his career, he has led several organizations through strategic planning processes and provided guidance to leadership on fundraising, risk management and policy development.

Gerry was a law professor for 23 years, teaching at Georgetown University, Florida State University, University of Arkansas at Little and Barry University. As a clinical law professor, he led major reforms in several law school skills programs. He is also a nationally renowned lecturer on children’s law topics and has published several articles and chapters of books.

Gerry received his undergraduate degree in 1985 from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, and his law degree in 1989 from American University, Washington College of Law, in Washington, D.C., where he graduated cum laude. He received his Masters in Justice from American University in 1991 and his LLM, Masters in Legal Advocacy, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1993. Gerry is admitted to practice law in Florida, District of Columbia, Maryland and Arkansas.
