Bio

With more than 17 years of nonprofit, education and government experience, Michael Bryant brings a diverse background and knowledge base to his leadership role.

Since joining Embrace Families in 2006, Michael has held several key positions, including chief operating officer, chief financial officer and chief information officer.  Currently he serves as the organization’s interim chief executive officer.

Michael’s experience and engagement in Florida’s safety net system is deep and far reaching. He was instrumental in establishing and managing the statewide Community Based Care Integrated Health program, which currently helps coordinate healthcare services for over 50,000 Florida youth in foster care. He also serves as a board member for Florida Coalition for Children and Central Florida Cares Health System, and has co-chaired the Seminole County Children’s Cabinet.

Prior to joining Embrace Families, Michael was director of information services at the statewide nonprofit Children’s Home Society of Florida. He also worked as a counselor for children and families, a project coordinator for the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute and a contract manager for the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Michael earned his master’s degree in public administration from the University of Central Florida. He and his wife live in Orange County.
