Embrace Families Looks Back at 2020
In a year that has been filled with so much uncertainty, we have a lot to be grateful for. Our team of caring individuals spent 2020 thinking outside the box to create innovative ways to encourage our foster parents and provide support for the children in their care.
Embrace Families could not have made it through 2020 successfully without the help of hundreds of foster parents across Central Florida. Our foster parents have always been super, but this year they truly became our super heroes. This needed to be celebrated. By celebrating our super hero foster parents, we provided them with a key component to making any super hero costume: masks! In true 2020 fashion.
Unlike years’ past, our Fore Our Kids golfing event had been transformed by the ongoing pandemic. Though groups were separated by social distancing and masks were worn throughout, 2020 Fore Our Kids was one of the most successful years we have had!
We were hopeful at the beginning of 2020 to continue our annual toy drive, but had to alter our traditional plans. We pushed through and prevailed with a digital campaign to support our holiday efforts across Central Florida in a way that has never been done before at Embrace Families.
We are proud of what we have been able to accomplish together this year and we know none of this would have been possible without your involvement. For this, we are incredibly excited about what is in store for 2021.
