Meet Our Adoptive Parents - The White Family

In the middle of the night, Ivan and Diane White got a call for help. Their niece was in serious financial trouble, and a man was holding her son Dylan hostage in exchange for cash.

Without hesitation, the couple got in the car and drove from Ocala to Orlando, calling the police on the way. They took Dylan into their care. Two years later, they were asked to make the drive again: this time to pick up Dylan’s newborn sister Leilani. She will officially join their family on Fri., Nov. 22. as part of National Adoption Day.

Dawn and Ivan look forward to celebrating their first Thanksgiving as a family of five. The couple has two biological children, a 14-year-old girl and a 9-month-old boy.
