Public Allies Take Vision for Change to DC

The mission of AmeriCorps’ Public Allies program is ambitious: to change the face and practice of leadership by training talented young leaders, with a passion for social impact, to create meaningful change in their communities.  This week, our Public Allies Central Florida cohort is taking that mission on the road — travelling to Washington, DC to visit our nation’s Capital, and to meet directly with lawmakers – including Central Florida Congresswoman Val Demings, among others.  Our Allies are diverse, equity-centered young adults dedicated to uncovering solutions to local challenges. They are the voice of Central Florida’s future, and we are proud to have them representing all of us in the halls of Congress.
