WFTV'S "FOREVER FAMILY" FEATURES NEEDS OF OLDER YOUTH.

WFTV-9 and Forever Family’s year-end broadcast featured a segment promoting the importance of supporting our older youth in foster care.

The 30-minute special focused on steps taken here in Central Florida to set up teens and young adults who have experienced foster care for the same kind of success their peers enjoy.  Topics covered included Florida’s pioneering Keys to Independence drivers license program, education and tuition support, mentoring, and other resources essential to helping youth in the foster care system heal and thrive.

Embrace Families works year-round with Martha Sugulski and our partners at WFTV and Forever Family to produce a weekly segment that promotes the need for community support, including the ever-present need for mentors, foster caregivers and adoptive parents.
