Bio

Motivated by her passion to give back to her community, Prita Chhabra first joined the nonprofit sector through serving in the AmeriCorps program Public Allies Central Florida (PACF). During her year of national service, Prita served as the Program Coordinator of High School High Tech funded by the Able Trust. In this position, Prita exposed students in high school who also live in foster care to different careers in the STEM field. Prita increased the number of students served by 200 percent and was able to expand the program to the tri-county area.

She now works at Embrace Families as a Program Manager for both PACF and High School High Tech, and enjoys using her talents to empower her students to find their voices. In 2017, Pita was honored with a full scholarship to Herzing University, where she earned her MBA. Originally a recording artist with six music videos under her belt, her latest project “Unstoppable” won Best Music Video at the 2018 Melbourne Independent Film Festival and is dedicated to all the students and young adults she continues to work with.
