Walk, Run or Stroll - for the "soles" of our kids

Lace up your running shoes and join the race
to provide back-to-school shoes for kids!

Join our partners at Karma Roofing as they host the first ever “Karma Cook Out 5K”, which will raise dollars to support Embrace Families’ Back to School Shoe Drive.

Net proceeds from this event will provide new shoes for children who have experienced, or are at risk of, abuse or neglect — helping them return to the classroom with a spring in their step and a new sense of confidence.

For a child in foster care, a new pair of shoes provides “normalcy”; bringing a sense of stability to kids whose disrupted family lives often make them feel alone and different from their classmates and friends.

Sign up to be a part of Karma’s 5k and help a child or teen stand out for their “soles”, not just what’s on their feet.

Can you help us reach our goal of back-to-school
shoes for 1,000 local children and teens?

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram as we march towards the goal of 1,000 pairs of shoes in time for back to school.

Note: The cost of shoes ranges according to age, brand, type and store. Each direct gift of $50 or more to our Back-to-School Shoe Drive will help provide a new pair of shoes to a child or teen in foster care, along with a renewed sense of normalcy.
